STEM Alliance Aotearoa

The STEM Alliance Aoteroa brings together businesses, educators and government to create a community of practice among the science/STEM community engagement projects in Tāmaki Makaurau, and wider Aotearoa.

Members work together to support activities that engage the community at all levels, creating a hub of scientific innovation and a wider community that embraces science in everyday life.

We aim to increase participation in STEM learning at primary, secondary and tertiary education levels, and to encourage young people to pursue careers in science and technology.

Since early 2015, the STEM Alliance has focused on its flagship project - SouthSci, the Participatory Science Platform in south Auckland co-hosted with COMET - Te Hononga Akoranga.

Now SouthSci’s internal processes and procedures are well tested, it’s time for the STEM Alliance to start working towards some of its other aims.
