Workshops for Teachers of Heritage Languages


These workshops by the Community Languages Association of New Zealand are for anyone teaching their heritage language in a community-based centre.

The workshops will assist you in developing further skills for providing language learning support to learners.

Registration closes on 10th June, 2018.

The first 10 participants will be preferred.

Bright Spot Awards

 The Education Hub has just launched the Bright Spots Awards, supported by NEXT Foundation, for teachers and school leaders to create, trial and iteratively develop new ways of working in their schools.

Each award is worth up to $75,000 over two years and will include funding for teacher release time, specialist support, and to enable the scaling of effective practice to new school contexts.

Applications close 1st of June 2018. 


Festival of Adult Learning


ACE Aotearoa is running a nationwide Festival of Adult Learning Ahurei Ākonga for the week of 3 - 9 September.

Funding is available for individuals and organisations who would like to run an event to celebrate or promote learning or learners in their community during the festival.
