Teach English and Experience Korea

 

The Korean Education Centre in NZ and the Korean Ministry of Education are recruiting ‘TaLK Scholars’ to teach to primary school students in rural areas for up to 15 hours/week for six months, and to experience Korean culture and life at the same time. 

Ten applicants will be chosen.

Applications close on 22nd June, 2018.  Apply online at www.talk.go.kr   

To be eligible for a TaLK scholarship, applicants must be a native English speaker and a graduate or enrolled in their third year or higher of an undergraduate degree at an accredited tertiary institution. They must also hold current citizenship from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, UK, USA. Overseas Koreans who hold Permanent Residence can also apply.  

Successful applicants will receive their return airfare (c. NZ$1,700) and Settlement Allowance (c. NZ$380), a monthly stipend (c. NZ$1,900), accommodation, medical insurance, Korean language learning opportunities, and the scholarship completion certificate at the end.
