Student Voice Magazine workshop

Students from primary, intermediate, secondary and tertiary levels attended a recent Student Voice Magazine workshop to generate stories for its September publication.

The workshops which are run by Education Today and COMET Auckland encourage and show students how to use journalism techniques for their stories.

"I like how everyone gets involved in the conversation. It's mental and verbal, thinking and discussion," Lukas, 10 from Flanshaw Road Primary says.

Student Voice Editor Geoff Vause says the magazine, now in its seventh year, was established because there was a need for a students’ perspective on education and its impact on them.

Stories, opinion editorial, photographs, cartoons & comic strips and ideas can be submitted by all students. Send stories and material to
